Product updates, release notes, and changelog from the Trackstack team.
We've completely redesigned the Team page with a new members table, role management menu, and improved visibility into team member access levels. Organization owners and billing admins can now easily manage team members, view their access to artists, see when they were last active, and remove members—all from a single, cleaner interface.
Impact: Faster member management with a dedicated role dropdown menu for changing permissions
Organizations can now change which party pays for an artist's seat directly from the artists list, and send payment reminders to artists with overdue payments. These actions help streamline seat management and improve payment collection for artist-paid seats.
Impact: Easily switch artist seats from artist-paid to organization-paid without leaving the artists page
The Organisation Overview page has been redesigned to display a comprehensive roster desk showing artists, their status, submissions, and billing information. You can now see at a glance which artists need attention, view their 30-day activity, manage seats, and access key billing and team information from the overview rail.
Impact: Quickly identify artists that need attention with visual status indicators and action buttons
We've fixed an issue where the minimum notice requirement for session bookings was being applied inconsistently. Previously, the booking calendar might show available slots that would later be rejected during checkout or rescheduling. Now the notice requirement is consistently applied as hours everywhere, ensuring the slots you see are the slots you can actually book.
Impact: Booking calendar now accurately reflects which time slots are available based on your product's notice requirement
Previously, when a store owner saved feedback on your order, the status tracker on your order page didn't update to show "In Progress." Now it does. Your order page will also automatically refresh every 30 seconds while your order is active, so you'll see status updates right away without having to manually refresh.
Impact: See accurate order progress immediately when the store owner starts working on your order
We fixed an issue where the admin panel and website would appear ready to use but would fail when trying to access certain pages. The development environment now properly prepares required database tools before starting these applications, ensuring everything works smoothly from the start.
Impact: Admin panel pages now load without errors on first access
We've fixed an issue that was preventing the inbox-web and admin-web applications from starting properly in the development environment. These applications now launch correctly and reliably on their designated ports.
Impact: Development environment now starts without errors
We've fixed issues preventing several development services from starting correctly. Additionally, mastering-web now runs on a different port (3009 instead of 3005) to avoid conflicts with other services. These changes ensure a smoother local development experience.
Impact: Development services now start reliably without errors
We fixed a bug that prevented the app from recognizing when you were signed in while viewing shared pages. Previously, even if you were logged in, shared pages wouldn't know it. Now when you visit a shared page, the app will correctly recognize your signed-in status.
Impact: Shared pages now properly recognize when you're signed in
We've fixed an issue where customers couldn't reschedule their sessions when their order contained multiple items (like a session plus feedback services). The rescheduling calendar now correctly shows available times and displays helpful error messages if something goes wrong.
Impact: Customers can now reschedule sessions on multi-item orders without seeing an empty calendar
We've fixed an issue where the Sign In page would appear blank when accessed through certain links. Users clicking 'Sign In' from our website or using old bookmarks will now be properly redirected to the correct login page and can sign in without any problems.
Impact: Sign In links from the website now work correctly without displaying a blank page
We've improved the experience for team members who are invited to join a studio. When invited members log in and are directed to checkout, their email is now automatically prefilled so they don't have to type it again. We've also made several UI improvements throughout the app, including better formatting in custom links, clearer permission messages, and improved visual consistency.
Impact: Faster checkout process for invited team members—no need to re-enter your email
We've resolved an issue where Studio users would see duplicate error messages when setting up Stripe Connect for payments. Additionally, we fixed a problem where the 'Go to your Studio' link could redirect to the wrong environment (production instead of testing). The Stripe payment requirement messages are now displayed more clearly without repetition, making it easier to understand what steps you need to complete.
Impact: No more duplicate error messages when setting up Stripe Connect payments
We've fixed a bug where users could still see new messages from a channel even after leaving it. If you were viewing a channel when you left it, the page will now automatically redirect you to the studio home instead of remaining on that channel. Additionally, if someone tries to access a channel they've left through a direct link or page refresh, they'll no longer be able to view it.
Impact: Privacy improvement: Left channels are now completely inaccessible
We've removed the Folk CRM integration from the admin dashboard. The Folk CRM panel that previously displayed contacts and groups synced from Folk is no longer available. Demo request data continues to be stored and managed as before, just without the Folk CRM synchronization.
Impact: Simplified admin dashboard with fewer integrations to manage
Your organisation hub now shows exactly how many seats are artist-paid versus organisation-paid, with clearer billing information. You can also manage team member roles (Owner, Billing admin, Member) directly from the Members tab, and the system highlights important issues like pending invitations and members leaving soon.
Impact: See at a glance how many artists pay for their own seats vs. seats your organisation pays for
We've updated the underlying command menu system used throughout the platform to version 1.1.1, which provides better stability and more reliable behavior. We've also removed unused admin pages that were no longer accessible. These changes eliminate installation warnings and improve the overall reliability of search features like country selection, workspace settings, and content filtering.
Impact: More reliable search and filter behavior in dropdowns and selection menus
Organizations can now see a world map visualization showing where the people sending music to their artists are located. The map displays data by sends, supports, or downloads, with a detailed breakdown of the top countries and the genres they're sending. You can view insights for all artists, a single artist, or compare two artists side by side, and export the data as CSV.
Impact: Understand your global sender network at a glance with an interactive world heatmap
When you leave a shared audio player in the background and come back to it—whether by switching apps, answering a call, or returning from another tab—the player now automatically recovers and stays ready to play. Previously, you'd need to reload the page to listen again.
Impact: No more dead play buttons after switching apps or putting your phone to sleep
Fixed an issue where video feedback uploads would get permanently stuck in a 'processing' state if the video took longer than 10 seconds to process. Now, longer video uploads will automatically complete and become ready to send, even if they take several minutes to process on our servers.
Impact: Long video feedback uploads no longer get permanently stuck and can now be sent successfully
We've added a new partner perk from Suru, offering exclusive discounts on sample packs and sounds. Eligible members will see the Suru offer highlighted across multiple locations in the app, including their inbox profile and settings, with a promo code ready to copy and use.
Impact: Access to exclusive Suru discount (30% off for 6 months with code TRACKSTACK30)
We've removed a workaround that was needed to make the 'Add a post…' button work properly inside collection modals. This cleanup improves the overall stability of our interface by relying on a more robust underlying solution that was recently implemented.
Impact: More reliable interaction with the 'Add a post…' popover in collection management
We've fixed an issue where dropdown menus and popovers would sometimes appear behind dialog windows, making them unclickable with the mouse. This affected various menus throughout the application when opened from within a dialog box. Menu interactions now work reliably whether you're using your mouse or keyboard.
Impact: Dropdown menus and popovers now appear on top of dialogs and are clickable with the mouse
Store owners can now leave separate comments and video feedback for each individual track in multi-track orders, and customers see all feedback organized by track. Single-track orders work exactly as before, with no changes to the existing experience.
Impact: Store owners can provide targeted, track-specific feedback instead of general order-level comments
When an organization's subscription ends, members now go through a smoother departure process instead of an immediate removal. Organization owners will see a new 'Wind down organization' control in settings for a more intentional shutdown. Artists' paid seats are unaffected and continue on their own billing cycle.
Impact: Clearer communication with members about subscription changes through individual departure emails
We've resolved an issue where videos weren't playing on Safari browsers, including on iPhones and iPads. Videos in your plans and posts will now load and play reliably across all devices and browsers.
Impact: Videos now play correctly on Safari (desktop and iOS)
You can now add and manage up to 20 website links directly in your Inbox settings. These links (like Beatport, Bandcamp, Tidal, or any other streaming platform) will be displayed on your public inbox profile, making it easy for people to find your music across different platforms.
Impact: Easily add multiple website and streaming platform links to your public profile
We've cleaned up our development configuration to eliminate unnecessary warning messages during installation. While this is a behind-the-scenes update, it makes our development process smoother and faster for anyone working with our codebase.
Impact: Faster and cleaner installation process with fewer warning messages
We've fixed an issue where videos recorded directly in Studio weren't being displayed in posts. Now when you record a video or audio message and create a post, it will show up properly for you and your audience. We've also improved the publishing experience by preventing you from publishing while a recording is still being processed.
Impact: Recorded videos now display correctly in posts without requiring external processing
You can now replace a resource's file directly without having to delete and recreate the entire resource. Simply upload a new file to replace the existing one while keeping all the resource's metadata, tags, and settings intact. The system also tracks who created each resource and who has made file replacements for better accountability.
Impact: Save time by updating resource files without losing metadata and configurations
When an organization staff member who owns a workspace leaves the organization, they can now either transfer ownership to an artist via email or delete the workspace. This ensures workspaces never become ownerless when staff depart. Organization managers receive notifications about deletions, and deleted workspaces can be restored by administrators.
Impact: Workspaces can be safely handed over to artists when staff leave, ensuring continuity
Sample pack creators can now upload a custom preview audio file or automatically generate a 30-second montage from their samples with one click. Shoppers see the pack preview front-and-center on the product page and can play it before purchasing. Sample-by-sample previews have been replaced with this single, pack-level preview.
Impact: Create a polished pack preview in seconds—either upload your own demo or let the system generate one automatically from your samples
Sample packs now feature a single pack-level preview that buyers can listen to before purchasing. Sellers can upload their own demo, or the system automatically creates a 30-second montage from the pack's samples. This gives potential customers a better sense of what they're buying without needing to purchase first.
Impact: Buyers can preview sample packs before purchase to ensure they match their needs
We've launched a dedicated Releases page in Growth that shows all confirmations you've signed or received, complete with KPI metrics and release history. Charts now display release markers with details, and your Network view has been completely redesigned with improved layout, connection strength metrics, and clearer visual feedback.
Impact: Track all signed releases in one place with key metrics (total signed, signed by you, signed by others)
We've reorganized the Growth section to be more easily accessible. The Growth page and its subsections (Overview, People, and Network) are now available directly from the top-level navigation, matching other main sections like Uploads and Discover. This makes the feature more discoverable and consistent with the rest of the application.
Impact: Easier access to Growth features from main navigation
We've launched a new Growth page that helps you understand how your contact network is evolving. View key metrics about your reach, engagement, and audience composition across different segments—all behind a feature flag for selected workspaces. This gives you insights into which inboxes are most engaged with your tracks and how your network is growing over time.
Impact: See real-time metrics on your reached and engaged inboxes
We've fixed several layout problems on mobile devices when viewing the full-screen track share player. The artwork no longer gets squashed, the 'Send music' button displays correctly without underlines, and action buttons no longer overlap the player controls.
Impact: Artwork displays at proper size on mobile without letterboxing
When an organization seat payment fails, you'll now see a clear payment screen instead of encountering errors throughout the app. The screen shows exactly what's owed, the deadline to pay, and provides direct options to update your payment method or retry the payment. Your workspace remains readable but paused—public links keep working and senders won't notice any interruption.
Impact: Clear, upfront communication about payment issues instead of scattered error messages
When you process a refund or cancel an order in your inbox, you'll now see a clear success or failure message. Previously, successful refunds would silently close the dialog with no confirmation, and failed refunds would leave the dialog open with no feedback. Now you'll always know whether your action completed or what went wrong.
Impact: Instant visual confirmation when a refund is successfully issued
Fixed an issue where clicking the "Visit Store" button in the Listing preview (found in Settings) wasn't working. The button now properly opens your store in a new tab, allowing you to see how your listing appears to customers.
Impact: Quickly preview your live store from the settings page
We've resolved multiple breaking issues in our code linting and formatting tools that were preventing developers from running quality checks. The `yarn lint` command now works reliably across all packages, and the pre-commit hook that formats code before commits is now stable and predictable.
Impact: Code quality checks now run reliably without crashes or unexpected failures
If your workspace is on a Pro or Max trial, the billing page now clearly shows when your trial ends and prompts you to add a payment card before that date. Without a card on file, your workspace will automatically drop to the Free plan when the trial expires.
Impact: See exactly when your trial ends directly on the billing page
Fixed an issue where leaving a channel would not persist in your sidebar. Previously, when you left a channel, it would disappear temporarily but reappear on your next refresh. Now when you leave a channel, it stays removed from your sidebar as expected.
Impact: Leaving a channel now has a permanent effect on your sidebar
We've fixed two issues that were causing problems when accessing your studio. Users completing studio onboarding will now be properly directed to their studio page instead of seeing a 404 error. Additionally, post notes will now save and display correctly when you revisit them.
Impact: Studio onboarding completion now correctly navigates to your studio
When you save channel permission settings, you'll now receive clear feedback confirming whether the save was successful or if an error occurred. Previously, there was no notification, leaving you uncertain if your changes were applied.
Impact: Get immediate confirmation when permissions are successfully saved
Channel access settings (such as visibility, privacy level, and member access) now apply instantly when you save them, without requiring a page refresh. Previously, changes might not appear immediately in the sidebar or other parts of the interface until you reloaded the page.
Impact: See access changes reflected immediately without waiting or refreshing
Artists now receive a weekly email digest showing how the labels you submitted tracks to engaged with them. Each week you'll see plays, downloads, supports, and shortlists broken down by track and label, along with week-over-week comparisons to track your momentum. The report arrives every Thursday so you can see how your submissions are performing across your network.
Impact: Track how each of your submitted tracks is performing across different labels in one weekly digest
We've activated the Suru partnership with a new exclusive discount code: get 30% off for 6 months using code TRACKSTACK30. We've also corrected the SoundCloud offer from 2 months to 3 months free of Artist Pro, so you get an extra month of benefits.
Impact: Access exclusive Suru discount with code TRACKSTACK30 for 30% off their sample packs and sounds for 6 months
Store owners can now see all items in orders containing multiple products (like track packs with sessions). Order cards show a summary of everything purchased, the sidebar displays itemized details with quantities and totals, and service work completion is now tracked separately from session scheduling. Single-item orders work exactly as before.
Impact: See all products in an order at a glance instead of just the first item
We've added a full shopping basket feature to the store, letting you add multiple products (digital downloads, mastering services, and session bookings) before checking out together. You can now review everything in one place, hold session slots while you shop, and complete payment all at once instead of checking out item by item.
Impact: Add multiple products to your basket and review them together before paying
